Constable Kozenieski, a 22-year department veteran, responded to a domestic dispute. While arresting the suspect, he was kicked in the chest several times and suffered a fatal heart attack at the scene.

Constable Kozenieski, a 22-year veteran of the Woodbury Police Department, responded to a domestic dispute along with a Connecticut State Police Trooper. After investigating the domestic the Trooper and Constable arrested the suspect, who kicked and fought the two officers at the scene. Constable Kozenieski was kicked in the chest several times and suffered a fatal heart attack at the scene.
